America is not the greatest country in the world anymore

The Newsroom "America is not the greatest country in the world anymore" 2012 TV series

"...It's NOT the greatest country in the world, Professor. That's my answer.

Fine. Sharon, the NEA is a loser. Yeah, it accounts for a penny out of our paycheck, but he gets to hit you with it anytime he wants. It doesn't cost money. It costs votes. It costs airtime. And column inches. You know why people don't like liberals? Because they lose. If liberals are so fuckin' smart then how come they lose so goddamn always?

And with a straight face, you're gonna sit there and tell students that America is so star-spangled awesome that we're the only ones in the world who have freedom? Canada has freedom. Japan has freedom. The U.K. France. Italy. Germany. Spain. Australia. BELGIUM has freedom. Two hundred and seven sovereign states in the world, like, a hundred and eighty of them have freedom.

...And you, Sorority Girl, just in case you accidentally wander into a voting booth one day, there's some things you should know. One of them is there's absolutely no evidence to support the statement that we're the greatest country in the world. We're seventh in literacy. Twenty-seventh in math. Twenty-second in science. Forty-ninth in life expectancy. A hundred and seventy-eighth in infant mortality. Third in median household income. Number four in labor force and number four in exports. We lead the world in only three categories: Number of incarcerated citizens per capita, number of adults who believe angels are real, and defense spending, where we spend more than the next twenty-six countries combined, twenty-five of whom are allies.

Now none of this is the fault of a twenty-year-old college student, but you nonetheless are without a doubt a member of the worst, period, generation, period, ever, period. So when you ask what makes us the greatest country in the world, I dunno what the fuck you're talkin' about. Yosemite?

Sure used to be. We stood up for what was right. We fought for moral reasons. We passed laws, struck down laws, for moral reasons. We waged wars on poverty, not poor people. We sacrificed. We cared about our neighbors. We put our money where our mouths were. And we never beat our chest.

We built great big things, made ungodly technological advances, explored the universe, cured diseases, and we cultivated the world's greatest artists and the world's greatest economy. We reached for the stars. Acted like men.

We aspired to intelligence. We didn't belittle it, it didn't make us feel inferior.

We didn't identify ourselves by who we voted for in the last election, and we didn't, oh, we didn't scare so easy. Ha. We were able to be all these things and do all these things because we were informed. By great men. Men who were revered. First step in solving any problem is recognizing there is one. America is not the greatest country in the world anymore. Enough?"

Pocket change... How much do you carry?

$10,000 wad of cash

Let me have some doubt.

The largest U.S. banknote in circulation is the C-note aka Benjamin aka $100 bill.

Can you imagine having three $10,000 stacks in your back pocket?

50000 dollars in 100 dollar bills
50000 dollars in 100 dollar bills

In movies...

  • Jinxed (1982). I clearly remember when the pro gambler / blackjack player unfolds two $10,000 bills to gamble it at the blackjack table, losing it all and ultimately commit suicide.
  • Pulp Fiction. Who can forget the Bad Mother Fucker wallet of Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) with fifteen $100 bills inside that he gave to the low-life bum?

In pro wrestling...

  • WWF pro wrestler "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and his valet Virgil carried a more realistic $1,500 in brand new one hundred dollar bills.
  • WWE wrestler and Ted DiBiase knock-off Tiger Ali Singh and his valet Babu carried the exact same $1,500 in hundred dollar bills.

In books...
  • The Angry Black Man Guide To Success. Alvin, a small plumbing contractor with fifteen years of experience, was always flush with cash and always had at least three thousand dollars in his pocket. This made him Ghettofabulous.
  • Famous boxing promoter Don King used to carry $2K in his pocket as well as a gun tucked in his pants.

The one above all...

Yusuf gold money belt
This man loved his Gold more than his own life!

  • Yusuf Ismail the Terrible Turk, a wrestler during the 1890s, used to carry $8,000 ($217,299.08 in today's money) in gold coins in his money belt. He was eventually drowned to death by the 40 pounds of gold around his waist when the ship he was aboard sank. Yusuf was too greedy to let the belt go!

Believe it or not, a wrestler from the last century outdoned any ghetto fabulous artists or athletes that you might know in term of bling and cash money carrying!

T-Pain 'Big Ass Chain' is even bigger than the Lil' Jon 'Crunk Ain't Dead" Guinness World Record Diamond Pendant.

“Dudes and girls, I just wanna give a quick preview of the last chain you’ll ever like. I’m shuttin’ it down.”

“I told everybody I’m not playing no more anybody wanna try to out do me then we goin at it like next door neighbors. Believe dat”

“10lbs. 197kts. Very very real I don’t know what fake feel like.$410,000. Hola señor recession proof.”

-- T-Pain introducing his record-shattering Bling via his Twitter (June 7, 2009)

  • Worth: $410,000
  • Weight: 10 pounds
  • 197-carat diamond
  • june 7, 2009

"Let’s celebrate the fact a black man can have things like this and still care for 3 kids and wife in a $6 million house with 32 cars. Oldest child 5 and already got 4 million in her own account. I don’t do dumb sh*t like this till I know the fams good. so don’t judge me from what I buy. Judge me from what I do. Cuz it’s so many artists that put themself before their family."
-- T-Pain (June 7, 2009 via his Twitter)

Many jealous and naysayers are outraged by this somptuous piece of Bling.

F*** them!

I salute the Black Man's success.

My hats off to T-Pain!

T-Pain Net Worth $35 millions dollars

T-Pain "buried" BIG ASS CHAIN, his top hat and his auto-tune on October 16, 2009 to promote album.

T-Pain retired his entire 322 top hats collection on March 2010.
Initially, his top hat was "only for promotion" for his 2008 album, Thr 33 Ringz.

Lil Jon Guinness World Record Chain

"Crunk Ain't Dead"
The Largest Diamond Pendant Ever

  • Worth: $500,000
  • Weight: 5.11 pounds
  • Dimensions: 7.5 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 1 inch thick
  • 3,756 genuine round-cut white diamonds for a total of 73 diamond carats
  • set in 18-karat yellow and white gold
  • Date: March 2007

Buys his big ass chain and world record pendant in 2007 as a publicity stunt for his upcoming album Crunk Rock. However due to the bankruptcy of his record label, the release of his album was delayed in June, 2008 and only sold 15,000 copies in the United States.

A $500K chain "investment" for revenues of about $15,500 on his three-year too late Crunk Rock album.

"I got the chain as a message for the haters! You know how they said 'Punk ain't dead' or 'Rock and roll is dead' ? They tryin' to write me off, so I got this diamond pendant with a thick ass gold chain."     -- Lil' Jon

As of 2016, Lil Jon net worth is estimated at $25 Million?!?
Even through...
  • his record label, TVT, bankrupted in 2008.
  • his Crunk Rock record only sold 14,000 copies in 2010.
  • only make $40,000 from Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice in 2011.
  • And we never heard of him ever since.
Draw your own conclusion.

I don't doubt the value of his wonderful Bling but I doubt his financial health.

Liberace rings jewelry

Liberace rings
Liberace rings

Liberace was a flamboyant and very rich pianist who was the highest-paid entertainer in the world from the 1950s to the 1980s.
He was such an attraction that he was paid up to $300,000 for his live performances.

His flamboyant lifestyle, eccentric personality and his exquisite taste for bling earned the nickname of "Mr. Showmanship".
I have officially proclaimed him as "The Original King Of Bling!"
Liberace opened the door to all the extravanganzas of the rockstars and rappers for years to come.

Worth over $110 Million at the time of his death by AIDS complications on February 4, 1987 at the age of 67 years old.

Liberace's rings were his trademark jewelry.
