Colonel Sanders refusal to quit
Businesses weren't always good to Colonel Harland Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). He failed in every of his "early" business ventures and careers. However he was stubborn and determinated.
At a late start at the age of 65, he toured the United States trying to franchise his fried chicken recipe. But he was turned off a record of 1,009 times before selling his first chicken. His foolish refusal to quit finally paid off, selling his franchise 8 years later in 1964 for $2 Million ($15.3 Million in todays Money).
